What materials will affect the curing process of food-grade silicone?
Sulfur is the most common substance that will inhibit the cure of addition cure silicone. It is important to also avoid any materials containing amines, rubber cement, various adhesives, and specific types of vinyl and caulk. In case of uncertainty, it is highly recommended to apply a small amount of our addition cure liquid silicone to a part or sample of the object to be molded. If there is an incompatibility, the silicone will not cure where it was in contact with the object, allowing you to find a suitable alternative or adjust your mold-making process accordingly.
